Fulham vs Lards, Sat 01 Dec 01

Kick off is at 2pm. Dale from Fulham provided these directions:

"The pitch will be about the same distance from both Clapham Junction and Wandsworth common railway stations.
The pitches are on Bolingbroke Grove side of the common (east side), there are about 10 pitches, however you have to cross a bridge over the railway line about half way along the pitches to get to the changing rooms that are on the Trinity Road (west side) of the common."

Given all this -- i.e. I can't say for sure *exactly* where the changing rooms are!! -- let's aim to meet at the west side of the footbridge, marked FB on the map -- at 115pm.

Directions from the two closest train stations -- Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Common -- are as follows (based on the above map!):

• From Clapham Junction stn :
  • come out of the station onto the main road, St Johns Hill
  • cross the road, and go left
  • turn right up st johns rd
  • at the main road (battersea rise), turn right
  • take 3rd left (bolingbroke rd). you'll see the common on your right
  • just after dents rd (on the left), and before blenkarne rd (also on left) you should see a footpath through the common, leading to a footbridge. cross the bridge to meet us on the west side
• From Wandsworth Common station :
  • come out of the station. you should be at the intersection of st james rd (down to the left) and belle vue road going across (with the common across the road from there)
  • it looks like there's an entrance to the common there.
  • the footbridge is the far side of the lakes in the park. you can either take a direct route (i think!), or follow the footpath to the left of the lakes. once past the lakes, it should turn right to head straight for the footbridge.
  • we meet on the nearside of the bridge
